    Sadly, every year someone in Pierre gets a deer like this with the grill of the car. They have some monster mule deer running around eating the nice green grass. It’s pretty comical to see them bounding down a road in your headlights.

    You’re killing me. We saw one similar to that one by our place up on 1806 a couple of weeks ago. We have seen several nice Mulies around Oahe while fishing this Summer and yet we didn’t apply for a tag this year. We are kicking our butts now. When we closed up the cabin a few weeks ago the boy shot 3 Roosters within sight of the house and then that evening we went below the dam and caught a nice mess of walleye from shore. It is truly a sportsman’s paradise around Pierre, now if I could hurry up and retire so I can enjoy it.

    I did a lot of spot and stalk hunting for mule deer when I lived out there. I miss that town!!
