Well, another Opener has come and gone. I never saw a thing, just like numerous times in the past. According to my notes I average 170 hours of “sitting on stand” time for every time I see a deer. It’s something like 250 hours of waiting per shot at one. I have some shells that are turniong green their so old. I can’t do this anymore. Hell, I can sit in my backyard and get cold and not see deer. Next year I’m going to Pool 2 and chase Walleyes.

I’ve always said that Deer Hunting season is the best time to be doing everything but deer hunting. Usually the river heats up, the ducks are in, the corn is out for pheasants.
    Screw it!

I gave deer hunting up years ago. Now I chase fish.
