I listen to 1270 The Fan out of Rochester while I’m at work and the last couple days I’ve been hearing an advertisment from Bluffland on the radio telling all hunters to be safe and they also talk about deer management a little in saying to shoot the doe’s and let a young buck walk. I would just like to thank Bluffland for doing this, I think its a great idea.

I’m in line with ya Ben! Great Idea!
Did you see my report form ND That is a big buck. I just hope he has a horseshoe in his pocket these next couple of weeks. Last year on that same farm I was chasing a 150’s 5×5. He fell opening day on the adjacent farm 2 hours into the gun season @ 2pm . He ended up going 152 and some odd inches !
C’mon 20 pointer go hide for a couple of weeks until the 3 rd week of November I will be back Lets just say tyhat he is a well known Deer up there. We have a guy hunting that land to try to keep out all the strays. I just can’t imagine all the people that are going to be wandering in on that land sayng they are tracking a wounded deer, just trying to get Mr. Big off of that farm

November 4, 2005 at 6:01 pm #11470Hopefully he makes it Rob. I wish I had more vacation and November lasted longer, I’d come film for you. I’m heading back to MO on the 9th then out to MT the 18th-27th. Some day my employer is going to figure out they don’t need me.

November 4, 2005 at 6:41 pm #11472Thanks for the report Ben that’s great, I am a member of Bluffland and they have had allot to do with the changes that have been made to the MN deer season. Here is a tip for the MN hunters who like to bow and shot gun hunt. This will be the second year that I have bought an all season license, with this license you can hunt bow, 3A shot gun, and muzzleloader, you get 2 tags with this license a buck tag and a doe tag. Even if you do not hunt muzzle loader this license is a good deal at $80. When you buy this license in early Sept or before you can apply for a doe permit (not a tag) to take a doe during 3A shot gun season (bucks only) not everyone will get one as there is a limited number of them to give out. So come shot gun season if you have not stuck a doe with your bow like someone I know you can shoot one during the buck season and that way you can be selective on the buck you shoot and still have venison on the table. Thank you Bluffland for all your hard work and keep up the good Job. If anyone is interested in joining Bluffland let me know and I can get you the info you need.
