Lighted/Glow Nocks?

Has anyone tried the lighted arrow nocks? Do they change your arrow flight? Is there a weight/flight difference when installed? I understand they last about 40-hours(?). Is this true? Is there an “on-off” method of lighting them or are they just always lit once installed? Any negative issues with them? …..I was thinking of trying them. Any input would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

I saw this get used today on a hunting show. Didn’t seem to effect the flight of the arrow at all….and it helped them find the deer after dark (wasn’t a pass through). Seems kind of neat…Let us know if you try it

It does add a few more grains to the total weight of the arrow than a typical nock…forget exact amount (~20 grains). Light is setup to turn on upon impact. Can pull apart to be turned off and reused. I haven’t personally used them but did look into them. Didn’t like the price nor weight for what potential benefit I might receive.

Some are as heavy as 40 grains. Some light up from the inertia of the arrow being released and some light up by placing a magnet near your rest, and when the arrow passes by, it lights it up. They are awesome looking on film, especially in low light.

Talked to the guy at the archery shop about these and found out they are about $10 a peice they light up when released from the string and you can turn them off by sqeazing them. HE also told me that what little weight they add would not effect arrow flight unless you are useing very light arrows and broadheads to begin with.
