Uffda, I would be a bit nervous pulling the trigger on that one. What if he fell in the mud a half hour ago and got a dirty snoot???
Did he have pink eyes and nose? Can’t really tell from the pics.
First off……….nice bucks everyone. Glad to see some great success going on this year.

Not sure about the mud deal, but what if he would of fell in the mud a couple hours previous to being killed? Either way he is dead. Guess the difference would be we would of heard about it on the news or in the newspaper from the DNR instead of here on IDA………right? Not sure on the eyes or nose b/c I didn’t shoot it. Got the pic on e-mail like I stated under the first pic.
Guess this guy just had good peepers is all.

November 17, 2005 at 8:27 pm #12166The cold and snow didn’t stop this buck, but my son’s arrow did. Don’t know much story other than on 11/16 it was moving fairly fast at about 100-120yds when a couple of grunts got it to come in to around 40yds. A quick bleat and he started coming in, at around 20yds he was hit.

November 21, 2005 at 1:20 am #12283Well I wasn’t fortunate enough to see anything big this weekend, but did manage to take a couple does to get some MEAT in the freezer.
However, as I was registering the deer I shot Saturday evening I found myself looking at the biggest buck I’d ever seen before. This was a 21 pointer that was absolutely massive all around. This deer was probably 5-6 years old and was shot in a wide open corn field around 7:30am Saturday morning. Sorry these pics suck but they were taken from my phone in the dark. Check out the foot long drop tine on this old boy!
