Steve, North Dakota is the 8th of January. I have a management tag and regular tag left up there. I will be up there to close her down. Sitting in the stand morning and afternoon and doing drives during the day. What a fun time.

January 3, 2006 for Archery Season in Wisconsin, Steve.
I got an open archery tag left… better get out there yet this week. I suppose I could see if that 6 pointer that I passed on 3 time during early season is still out there.
I have a good feeling he may not have made it thru gun season?? Just ta hunch though?

Hey Steve, bow season closes the 10th of Janurary as does black powder eigther sex then theres the late season for the counties that are selling tags to thin thier doe’s out that runs from Janurary 11th to the 22nd. Then finially theres the state wide doe only extension that runs from the 23rd to the (29th of janurary, this is the final end to the state deer season here). I seen on the Iowa dnr.com website where theres still 213 tags left for doe’s for out of state hunters available, thats nice to know. So for scorings sake Steve it will be the 29th of janurary that will be the last day of deer season where a hunter can tag a doe here in Iowa then a few days or whatever it takes for that person to get his pictures up on the site here. I’ll get my pictures up around the 13th to the 15th of Janurary because im hunting the late season blackpowder.

Steve, hope I can get this to work. Finally got the pictures loaded onto the computer. Here’s my ten pointer taken this gun season. Nothing too impressive but worth the work…and fun.

Still have some time with the bow to get another 5-10 points I hope. Also, Dolfan ended up shooting a 10pt and doe in Illinois. Don’t know about eyehunter’s success.

This contest was fun. Thanks to Steve for putting things together.

Next year should be an equally awesome year in the woods. I can’t believe all the huge bucks that were taken this year. It seems every year they get bigger and bigger.

I know I had some great action while bow hunting and pending the outcome for others who hunted during the dun season, next year might be the best yet.

Well guys i think im going to have to drop out of the contest. I’ve run into some obligations and a few twists in the road that is going to keep me from hunting this years season. Because of work i couldn’t get in the woods for the bow and early season and was tryin get to hunt the late season. Sometimes things just happen where a guy can’t do anything about it. Theres always next year though and the open water fishing season ahead so all is not bad. I sure enjoyed looking at all the deer that everyone has gotten and thats been enjoyable but for this years hunting season it has come to an end for me so theres always next year. Its been enjoyable everyone.
