I got the notice that I was going to be allowed to hunt the farm I have been hunting the last 2 years again this year
The owners had planned on selling, but now they have reconsidered. This news just put the wind back in my sails and I think I could jump over the moon right now The bow is sighted-in and sitting on go. All I have to do is get one treestand up in the honey hole where I have harvested multiple does. This area is situated on an inside corner about 30 yards in the woods. It is also on a little finger ridge with a stream below me, a pine stand behind me, corn to my left, and hardwoods to the right and in front. I think what draws the deer is the inside corner and the edge effect of the hardwoods and pines. The corn also helps . I can sit here all day and watch the turkeys, deer, coons, squirrels, birds, and the occasional coyote. Something about this particular area that has been special to me. I also have another real good area where I will be using the blind or the climber to hunt. In this area it is a mix of hardwoods and pines on a big flat filled with oaks. If I set-up close to the edge of the flat I can see down into a floodplain and watch the deer and ducks below. You can see forever from this area. I harvested a buck during gun season from this area and a friend of mine shot a big doe. It is also one of my coyote calling areas. Mine life just got great again

Well I thought I was until last night
Sunday I was shooting my 100 muzzy’s and decided I didn’t like their flight path so I decided to resighted in my bow to go to steelhead expandables that fly straighter. no sweat I thought, make a couple of adjustments and done well the wheels feel off

First I dam near had a robin hood
    but that ruined 2 arrows
then the next round my rubber tube snaps on my peepsight, fix that then I went to make an adjustment to the sights and the screw snapped off inside
Ran down to Scheafers to see if they could fix it, nope so a $0.00001 part cost me $80 for a new sight

then I had to start all over again, My arm and back are tired! lots of shooting the last 24 hours

I wonder if I could take back the sight to gander or something and just exchange it

Bucky just a note get rid of the peep cord! Go with the fixed peep. I use to shoot with a peep cord until an honest Booner got away because my peep cord malfunctioned. And when I say Booner it wasn’t one of those deer you see and immediately know it’s a shooter it was one you immediately know it’s a Booner! Those whiley whitetail are hard enough to gett without your bow throwing a wrench into the equation! Brad
