I do not have any issues with does just fawns and button bucks. I guess I would be ok with someone 16 or under, is there anyone under 16 that would be in the contest? My problem with fawns is that you could be shooting a future trophy buck. Jerry how does the group that you are in do the scorning and what do they have for rules?

Here are our rules, regulations and scoring system, Steve. We ended up with over 20 teams with nine members to a team. This contest is strictly archery since a Mathew’s achery forum.

Alright guys just got back from a long weekend was gone most the time…here is a couple options we gotta choose from since we need to get this rolling this week since its kinda late planning. One choice could be Archery- 50 points for FIRST buck shot due to party hunting and 10 points for each doe……shotgun will be 30 points for each buck (if you have not already harvested one with bow) and 5 points for each doe……Muzzloader will be 40 points for Buck tag being filled and 7.5 points for each doe. Youth 16 and under will be granted the same points as a doe points for fawns or button bucks, with no points be given to adults for fawns harvested. Now the other option will be does recieve the same points depending on the weapon of choice ,but had an idea run by me that we select three judges to judge the deers age by photos sent in by people in the contest and grant points by age of deer with the max points being given to bucks harvested with an estimated age of 3 1/2 or 4 1/2 but feel that could be a little difficult but felt maybe its still an idea to try. I also feel if we could get atleast 25 guys make 5 teams of 5 ,but we run into a problem there what if an idvidual in your group falls off the face of the earth and is not heard of or does not hunt to much. Hope to post a sign up sheet by Tuesday night if we can get this rolling so if any questions PM me and Steve I beleive you have my cell number call me with any questions or advise on this.
