Here too Tony. Most of the Fawns still have spots. Seen a bunch the other night scouting and one in the yard this morning that still had them. I couldn’t believe that the buck had shed ALL his velvet already. Nothing that gets me more pumped than seeing hard bone on top of a big bucks head. It means that they are ready to shoot .
Housing Developments do suck Tony. You have no idea what they (housing development)did to behind my house. If people only knew of the Brusier Bucks I had cruising around. You would never guess you were 20 minutes from downtown Minneapolis. 200″ plus Deer were around, a couple each year. The stuff and things I have seen in my 5 years of living in my house, video producation guys can only dream of capturing. I have seen some unbelievable things (big bucks, big bucks fighting, reproduction, fawns playing, some awesome full velvet sights, A person chase a deer in a vehicle and pull out a handgun to drop the deer only to leave it lay and come back and get it in the dark (longstory, but I’m pissed I did not call the CO now )in a no firearm area. Gee I wonder why that truck was parked out there every day Bow Hunting and then did that , knowing that most of our “Cities Finest” are the ones that “GOT SELECTED on a random draw” to bow hunt this area and I wonder who else is that good at a handgun
Tony like I said you or the public have no idea what was behind my house and now is gone due to “Urban Growth” . With no thought or respect for what that land used to hold (wildlife). With houses 20 feet apart at the base and 16 feet apart at the roof overhangs. That does notleave a lot of room for the wildlife Much less the # of deer that used to use that area have no been scrunched down to less land and way less food and will probably not last the winter, due to the system will not be able to feed that many But don’t worry the city is gaining money in taxes so it makes it ALL OK
