I usually go out LABOR DAY WEEKEND and start checking trails and confirming permission on private property, but this year for some reason I JUST COULDN’T WAIT so I made an early trip to a close friends farm when I got there he told me about a 14 point with a drop tine on each side. And a few other decent bucks running around on the farm.I just wanted to look at the crop layout and make sure my stands and pegs weren’t stolen from last year and of course look for a little sign.Well I’m glad I did , because when I got about 6 ft. from the tree with my stand in itI seen a deer run into the cornand then a nother flurry of brown meant another deer.I was 6ft. to my tree and 3 ft. to a weathered roun bale that was only 3 ft. tall so I SAT ON THE ROUND BALE OF HAY and got out the bi- nocs and checked out the first deer I seen and it was a real nice 10 point full of velvet and then I seen brown in the corn from the other deer I could tellit was a buck but I couldn’t see how big it was because it was in some taller corn it wasn’t long and they both wandered off in the taller section of the cornfield and they were gone.I didn’t see the big drop tine buck, butI seen a couple of other real nice deer and it was a great scouting trip
EARLY SCOUTING !!!!!!!!!!
