have you shot any broadheads into that target yet? Wondering how it holds up.
Hey Whitetails,
I’ve got “The Block” and have shot broadheads into it quite a bit. It tends to tear some of the layers out when you are pulling arrows, but doesn’t seem to affect the stopping power of it. I’ve had it for about 2 years and have shot a pile of arrows into it…..no pass thru’s yet!July 20, 2005 at 3:44 pm #373988Quote:

I don’t spend near enough time practicing with broad heads at distances past 20 yards and would like to change that this year. I like the block targets especially the new 4×4, but don’t want to put up the $90 for it. It’s probably worth the investment and I like how mobile they are.

August 8, 2005 at 1:51 pm #9190Lip Ripper, I can’t tell from your pics. Are your arrows going threw the back of the target? I went and bought the same one over the weekend at Fleet Farm. I didn’t think my arrows would go threw the back side of the target. I stuck one through the target and into the siding of my garage. Kind of dissapointed with it. If my arrows are penetrating through on the first shot I can’t imagine it would take long before they pass through it.

August 8, 2005 at 3:06 pm #9192I have never found a foam target that my arrows have not penetrated through if ya do. let me know. I think that is what you sacrifice when you dont go with a big expensive felt filled bag target.

Yes They do penetrate so they stick out of the back of the target. These targets are only about 12″ thick. THe blaock targets are a little thicker = more resistance therefore stopping before sticking out the back. I think mine pentrated about 4-6″ out the back. I agree, but like I mentioned earlier, I bought this target with that fact that I knew it would be not as good as the block, but this was the target I was going to use for in the truck/ field and not shoot at it a million times. It is nice, small, compact and easy on the pocket book. Sorry to hear about the garage
