With the season pretty much over I am curios to see how my spot stacks up against the rest. I hunt in central Il in an area I would call average. Probably 20% timber with few plots of woods over 50 acres. I would say the average for the 3 guys I hunt with for deer sightings (meaning # of groups ,so a doe and 2 fawns would still be 1) at 3 for opening day one for day 2 and .5 for day 3. Ill has a split gun season and the second shoot would probably go as follows 1-.5-.4-.1.
Over the years I have had access to better and worse property in the same area. The # changed enough to be noticed but probably never exceded 5 and feel below 2. It did however seem to remain a little better as the season progressed in my best local. Just curios what others thought , especially in regards to how pressure effects others, I had a friend in Ken who saw little change (he had a great spot) and another in AR who had similar results.
