I went on a wild hog hunt last March in Texas. I would love to go again but would like to find a place a little closer. Like Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, or Missouri. I’m a little short on vacation and don’t want to spend it driving. Has anyone been on a hog hunt in one of these states and could send me some info. I need to do something to break up the winter.

The UP of Michigan has great hog hunting. Those big Russian boars. The Gander Mountain here has alot of info. on it. I cannot find the exact site to it, but here is another.

Well I don’t know how good the hunting is, but a guy shot a Russian Boar this year in Crawford County, near Seneca. I saw it in the Wisc State Journal, but I can’t find the article for some reason. I did remember the name of the guide service though, here it is:

I was in LaCrosse on business and I seen that same thing in the LaCrosse Tribune. I guess they really want them out of the area by the sounds of the paper. Running into major crop damage or something. I know that a kid was coon hunting in that area and his dogs cornered a baby hog and he has it alive. Must be a few in that area anyways. Sorry I was no help….Good luck finding a place though.

Yeah I got fammily east of LaCrosse near Wilton, and there was reports of hogs near there. I spose the find a nice coullee or valley on private land and never move.

    Thanks, Tom
That is a very reasonable hunt especially for Russian Boars. Have you or anyone you know been there? Are they pretty reputable? I found 2 places in OK that I was thinking about going to until this came up. They were ferral hog hunts.
