Shot me a little 6 pointer today…!

    Right at the water’s edge… don’t he looked surprised… lol

    I really wish I had my better camera with today.

    Here’s the scoop. Around noon I drove through the head of the lake area on Lake Pepin and we spotted this little buck crossing the channel heading for WI. We swung around quick, got the sun at our backs and idled in close enough for a shot but not close enough to really scare the crud out of him. It’s amazing how fast they can swim! We took 3 or 4 shots of him right as he made land fall and got to watch him dash across the island. Prett darn cool.

    Nice pic. your right about there suprising speed when swimmig. I have seen a few deer in the lake in the past. and this past spring saw a beer in the water. Never have a camera with me. Should carry one i have let a few big fish go with out any proof. Oh well I know I caught them and thats all that really matters.

    That is a sweet picture, James. You would swear that boy was headin back to the bayou in that photo.
