Looking for something a) dependable and b) affordable.

Don’t want something that will fail, but don’t want to spend a ton either.

Thanks to all who can help.

Here’s a pretty good comparison chart between a few of the more popular trail camera’s. I’ve heard the cheap-o stealth cams(???) work just fine.

It also has instructions for making your own trail camera, if you get into that kind of stuff

I’ve bought some stuff off ebay.

Guess I’m just a bit worried about buyiong electronic stuff off ebay, fearful it might be defective or something.

You can do a background check of sorts on the sellers through Ebay. I’ve purchased items on there before, and always look into the history of the seller. Most times it’ll speak volumes.

Granted, there’s always that chance you’ll be the one guy out of 100.

    Moss,

I don’t blame ya for not buying things like this on e-bay, I have been a little hesitant myself.

I have the cheap stealth cams (69.99 ) and the pics turn out great. I was a little hesitant at first, but after seeing it work it is great. A lot of people want the digital cameras, so they can delete the pics if they aren’t what they want(very nice). True, but I have a hard time putting out a $400+ dollar camera in the woods knowing that it could dissapear. All in all I guess, it is really up to what you want to spend on one.

Good luck in finding a camera!!
