Awesome story and pictures John, I mean Slurp.
Tell us again why you got Buck Fever and missed the bigger bull at 50 yards and had to settle for the smaller one??

It would be completly inappropriate to make any kind of reference to the part of my anantomy that I couldn’t control when the bulls were bugling.

Almost felt like I was there! Sounded like a blast! I used to go out to the Big Horns to hunt Mulies. I would love to go after Elk someday!

What part of WY were you in? We just got back from the big horns mule deer hunting. Ended up with 3 out of 4. First time for me it was quite an experience. We ended up seeing more elk than deer though and no elk tags. Even got to see a few moose. A real experience. I would recommend it to anyone who has never tried it. It will be a trip you will never forget.

    BM,

We hunted about 60 miles west of Casper. The unfilled tag and another guy that didn’t get to go on the original hunt are headed back out tomorrow.

What unit did you hunt mule’s in??? Was there a lot of public ground? What class of elk did you see??

We hunted in the southern end of the Big Horn National forest. We were in region M. The herd of 60 some elk I saw on the second day of the hunt there were at least 4 or 5 shooters with at least another dozen or so satellite and spike bull elk. We had a 350 class 25 yards away that we got on video. All and all it was a good hunt. I was done on the second day so it was a little boring. Being the first time out the weather made me a little nervous.
