I use Tinks #69 during pre and peak rut. Actually use a tampon, unscented of course, rub on bottom of boot before entering the stand and then hang in a tree about twenty yds from stand at deer nose level. As far as cover scents, I simply hang my hunting clothes on the clothes line for about two days and keep them in the garage, seems to work good. Sometimes people get wrapped up in all the cover scent and it actually works against them. Rubber boots is a key to. They don’t leave a scent. Lacrosse makes a good boot, and have them available in different layers of thinsulate. I wear the Lacrosse 4 wheel drive in 800 grams of thinsulate, seem to be plenty warm for the cold sits. Hope this helps!
