He taped out at 130 1/8 gross. I’m figuring if he had the rest of the that main beam and G4 he would have grossed in the low 140’s. He was starting a crab claw on his left side so who knows maybe he would have had a scorable G5 on the right side.

A friend of a friend shot this deer on 11/7. When I first saw the pictures, I thought it was Steer with Antlers.

I don’t have all of the information on this deer yet, but I am guessing it was well over 250lbs. I will try to get the details, and post them. I wish this was my deer.

Rip Lipper, what do you estimate this one to score? I can’t see if it is a 5 x 5 or 4 x 5. That is a very impressive deer!!! WOW

These aren’t bucks that were shot in 2004, but since I am sitting here waiting for the season to start tomorrow I thought I would share some of the bucks we have shot past hunting seasons.

The one attached here is one my dad got a few years ago

Here is my buck from this morning . Not huge by any means, but a nice young buck . This was the first and only deer I seen this morning. I set up on a nice oak flat that was above the riverbottom knowing there would be at least some does come through. I also figured if I shot one it would be a nice flat drag about 200 yards to the truck. Well we all know how that works . I shot him at about 40 yards right in the front shoulder. He did the jump, kick, and buck routine and ran STRAIGHT for the riverbottom . Another hunter that was closer than I like to be took a shot at him and blew right through his back . Anyway, it was a nice uphill drag and was back in the truck by 9:00. And to think, I wasn’t even going to go . He would be an 8 pointer, but the right G1 is busted off about 2 inches from the main beam. Rough inside spread is 18 4/8″. He has been in a few battles as his neck is gouged pretty good. His neck is still huge, but the body appears to be pretty run down. Now I will have to sit back and enjoy the rest of the weekend or go out and fill my doe tag, ahhh maybe tomorrow .

Scott, it’s hard to tell but it looks like it is a good picture of the buck (the 2nd pic). Taking photos of game or fish can be an art. It looks like the G2’s are around 9 to 11″ with the G3’s around 8-10″. It looks like the beams are about 24″ and the spread is right about 20″. It looks like average thickness so I would say this buck would gross right around mid 140’s???? With a net around the mid high 130’s. Great buck!!!!!

My 3B season opened at 6:48 on Sat., and was over at 7:19.

Unforunately, the camera didn’t make it out hunting that morning,(digitals and moisture don’t mix well) but I got this shot when I got home.

    10 points, 18.5″ spread.

There’s a 14 with 2 drop tines running around where I hunt, but he didn’t show himself this morning. I couldn’t pass this one up in hopes of getting the BIG BOY!
