I was happy too, John …..and I’m positive Carol had something to do with it. It hit my Dad real hard when Carol passed away.
I’m positive my sis had something to do with my deer also!

When Greg was showing the pictures of his buck at work…. in the pictures he was standing by the truck with the deer and a coffee mug in his hand. He made sure everyone knew that was coffee in the mug! I got a chuckle out of that!

Here’s a pic (low quality off the camera phone) of an 8 pointer I got Saturday morning.

I agree with you guys on the fact that my Dad was watching and probably did a little long-distance drive on this guy, just like how he pushed my first deer to me 10 years ago.

There’s nothing like sitting silently in a tree to help you reflect on the people that have made a difference in your life.

I’m not sure what’s going on with the picture, I’ll give it another shot.

Crop and size your pic and save it in your computer..remember 450 pixels on it’s largest side.

The name of the file can not contain any spaces or characters like @ # * .

Once saved to your computer go in and post a message in the forum of your choice.

After your post is typed in leave the box checked that says “I want to preview my post and/or attach a file”

Then there will be a box marked “browse” click this and it will take you to “your computer”

Select the picture you want to post by clicking on it, this will put the picture in the browse box…

Click continue and your all done….

If you have anymore questions feel free to give me a shout.

Here is one I found wondering to close to my deer stand on Wednesday 11/10 at 12:30. This guy had a couple of close encounters with hunters earlier in the week. He had one knee that took a hit, the knee was swollen and he was limping. He also had a clean cut graze on his hind, someone had flung an arrow at this one.

Here is a picture of my niece (Sadie) and Nephew (Joe) with the buck he shot Sunday morning. It’s a nice three pointer, his second buck and 5th deer in his young deer hunting life, he just turned 14 last Thursday.
This was Sadie’s first year in deer camp, she’s 8. We have the kids come up the second week to sit out in the stands with our senior members to get a feel for the sport if their interested in hunting.
We had them all in the garage Saturday afternoon getting the skinning and processing experience. We don’t want them to be squeamish about the whole thing. Last year they had a ball helping make sausage. They all now understand (wives included) what sausage casings are made of. My wife has never looked at a skin-on wiener the same.
Dman’s sisters kids got in on the mess too. We believe it‘s good for them to understand that there’s more to the hunt than just the kill.
The next picture was our Saturday afternoon project, Slice and Dice!
4 deer, a little over 4 hours, not bad.

We have 1 week left to hunt and 3 licenses left. One more deer will be plenty!
