Now that the 2004 bow season has started it is time to also start the 2004 Deer hunting pics thread. Pics posted here should be deer taken by bow, gun, crossbow, or any legal weapon. If you have pics of live deer by camera or trial cams please post them here.
Any deer hunting pics are welcome here, it dose not have to be a buck with a huge rack, “a trophy deer” is in the eye of the beholder. So lets see some pics!

I guess I can be the first to submit a pic. I got this doe this evening at 5:27. 16 yard shot, quartering away, and calm as can be. I was lucky to even find her due to the downpour washing most of the blood trail away. She went 20 yards farther than where I lost sight of her. WHEW that was close. Had a second doe come in while I was waiting the 30 minutes to find this one, but decided to let her walk.

Allegedly, this deer was killed on public ground northwest of Chillicothe Mo. last week. Scored in the 190’s.

    Hey Guys,
I got my first buck w/a bow this weekend…I was
sitting in my stand for about 2.5 hours freezing, so i decided to hang my bow up on the side of the tree..(thinking i could grab it nice and slow if i saw a deer approach). While i was trying to stay warm and watching the squirrels run around…i saw some bigger movement down the hill from me…before i knew it, a nice 8ptr had run under my stand at about mach 10. it happened so fast i didn’t even have time to grab my bow… I yelled at him, but he didn’t stop…So there I was, bow in hand (late) dumbfounded about what had just happened….BUT there was another deer coming up the hill as well..He had stopped when i yelled and was slowling walking towards my stand…Smaller buck, but i was going to take my chances on him anyway…He got to about 12 yards and i let the arrow fly… He “bucked” and ran up the hill and dropped…I was so pumped up!!! Granted a bigger deer had gone by, but my first buck w/ bow and i was excited.

    5pt’r…
