I have a Marlin .30-.30 lever action with scope. Shoots good. I also have a 7.62x54R Mosin Nagant for them closer range kills with the 200 grainer.

    What are your deer killers?

Ruger model 77 30-06 with a 3-9 Tasco scope. After 24 years it still shoots to the same spot.

A Winchester M 64 in 30-30 for short work and a Browning BLR in 7mm-08 with a Leupold 3×9 scope for more range. Both guns are old friends.

McPherson Accumax 73lbs, with Easton Hyperflites, Thunderhead 85 grain.

It’s the difference between hunting deer, and just shooting them.

If we had a high five icon, I’d be givin’ that to you Stradic. Love my bow, more than any other weapon I’ve ever owned.

Several, depending on the season and the mood For a rifle I use a Savage .243 which is a good all around calibre for this area. I will also break out the Mossberg 12 ga when I feel like punishing my shoulder . For muzzleloader season I use a Knight although I have never shot a deer with it yet, it is fun to shoot. But, my favorite weapon is my Diamond Machete compound. None of my guns hold a candle to that sweet little shooter.

I use a Winchester 100 semi I bought when I was 13. Just put new Burris scope on it for last season. I also use a PSE Carrera for the quiet times. Countin’ down…

I use a Mossberg .243 I love this gun. I shot a doe at 250 yrds last year and it was “dead on” No pun intended I could’ve never made the shot w/o the bipod either. All the deer i’ve shot w/this gun never run more than 20-30yrds. Must be i’m just a good shot

Although I do not hunt deer much with a firearm, if I do I only really have one rifle for all around use (Elk, Bear Deer). I use a 7mm Magnum in the Winchester Model 70 with usually 150 grain Remmington ballistic noslers if I’m chasing bucks , otherwise 150 grain corlokt if I’m hunting does.

But my weapon of choice would be my Matthews Legacy with my trophy taker rest along with my 100 grain SteelForce broadheads. Sweet set up!
