Zone T are hunting zones designated for herd reduction. They usually have two 4 day seasons? both before and after the regular Gun season. DOE ONLY!!! It’s a good time to bad some extra MEAT!!

Thanks! That is what I thought, but after reading the hunting regs, I still wasn’t sure. They kind of assume that you already know what a Zone T hunt is. This is cool, so from what I can see, in a Zone T hunt, you get the anterless permit free, but you have to harvest it during the October of December 5 day hunt. Does that sound right? Thanks,

The free tag you get can be used during ANY season, not just the special T_Zones . I personally like the early T-Zone hunts because then I can warm up the rifle for regular gun season. It does kind of suck not being able to harvest a buck at that time, but there is plenty of time during early bow, gun, and late bow season to take a buck.

You can use T Zone tag during regular 9 day gun deer season, but you must be in a T Zone area. It does not just apply for the 4 day T Zone times. I know its confusing, but its fun, escpecially the one in december wheres theres actually snow.
