Anybody here ever use these? Saw on another fishing website with high regard. Sounds interesting. Just ordered some to try. If its turns out to me plain double sided tape then Ill know how to get it easier/cheaper next time.

My neighbor at the lake was using one a couple weeks ago. The whole thing was full of them. I think they have some attractant in them.

Have heard of them but, never tried them. Years ago a cousin who lived in northern MN said he would put a loop of duct tape on his cap when he went to mow.

Black duct tape on a light colored hat with Tanglefoot sticky trap adhesive applied. No attractant in it, that’s what your head is for. I’m sure a tape loop works but biting flies are attracted to dark colors so the black tape may work better.

Placing blue Solo cup traps around your property works wonders. Gets buffalo gnats also, they are programmed like deer flies. I put black garbage bags on a couple junk 100lb propane tanks to simulate a dark body and provide some movement and a blue sticky cup head(make sure to tape the bag down or the cup will catch it!). I had to put fresh cups over the first ones within a week they were so loaded. Cups hanging from branches work, not quite as good though. A friend hung a sticky cup from a fiberglass pole on his riding mower and got lots.

Struggle, struggle, die is satisfying to watch when it comes to biting flies.

I have used them many times and they work great. Just make sure to follow the directions for placement. They used to make one for horse flies as well. I do not know what the difference is.

Not to hijack the thread but does anyone have something that works on the dog. My poor lab looked miserable this weekend with a dozen or so on him at all times.
