I am in the market for a new to me 19 to 21 foot glass boat for primarily fishing big water, and limited use for family outings. I am on mainly big water inland lakes, with a small amount of time on Lake Superior. Due to my limited budget, I am looking at used, and am leaning towards the Skeeter deep V line of boats.

For those who are familiar with the skeeter lineup, what is the big difference between the WX, MX, and Solera line of boats, and given my usage, which model do you think best fits my usage.

Wx is the model for what you described without a doubt. I have owned WX and MX2025 and the MX2025 performed well when needed and was a great boat to fish out of. However a WX is considerably smoother in rough water and big water. You def. want to look for WX model based on what you want to use it for. Do you have a number in mind for budget I can give you my $.02 on what model I’d put my money towards based off budget.

I’m hoping to keep the purchase under $35,000.

Wx 1850 with 150 wx 1880 with 200hpdi or WX1900 with 200 are the three models that jump out at me in that price range you can get a 2008-2012 give or take in that price range or less. Otherwise the ZX 2050 could be a good option as well. Feel free to PM me for more specifics. Also any certain reason your set on Skeeter? I like there boats a lot just wondering what has you going that direction. Also are you set on a 2 or 4 stroke and looking for full windshield or twin bubbles?

It was suggested to me that for the money, Skeeter would be my best bang for the buck. As for the boat, I would prefer a walk through windshield, and a 4 stroke

Certainly a viable option, but being patient for the right boat from the right home will be your best bet !
