Deep thinking….

When I exchange/refresh my bait water out in summer, the minnows swim against the stream, thus holding in bucket. While in cold water months I pour the water out and quite frustratingly the minnows swim with the flow and end up all over the ground.

One more piece to the puzzle? Coincedence? On something or on to?

Deep thinking means deep trouble. Cold water- slower minnows. Warm water- quicker minnows. Just need to pour out the water out slower.

I wasn’t worried about the minnows, just the deep thinking.

I believe he is referring the direction the minnows flow based on water temp and if that correlation may be extrapolated to fish in the river… that was deep

With this road construction going on everywhere in the twin cities anyone finding themselves taking back roads?
And the best way to find these lil shortcuts and off chutes is to ask an older person who’s been around the game for awhile, know how roads used to be and have always taken these routes because its slow and easy and the kids can have the heavy congested highways?
Makes a guy want to figure out some more of the tricks of these old timers and their routes of old, no?

    More deep thinking…..

How come when its cold out people say dress warm, but when it is warm out you never hear anybody say dress cold.

How come people ask me if I’m cold when I wear a jacket inside? Shouldn’t I be warm?

I think I get what he is after, and have seen this myself,so here is my take on it.
the minnows are happy to be in the warm water of the bucket, and flowing water usually leads to cooler water, and they simply dont want to be in colder water.
in cold water, the reverse is true,in the bucket, the water is cold, and flowing water may mean to them that deeper warmer water is close by,so they want to go where its warmer.

for really deep thinking, dig a well.

I was fishing with my brother while he used metered line. He caught every other fish.
