Deep bowl shaped lakes

I’m targeting big blue gills on a deep bowl lake. Max depth is 46 ft now that its mid winter can will I find the gills on the deep water break lines? Or around the basin if the lake?

How clear is the water? If the weedline grows deeper than 10 feet it’s still possible you might find some fish around the weeds. Otherwise, the breaklines could be a good place to start but it’s really hard to say.

If it’s a big lake, or spring fed with some moving water with good oxygen levels, you might be more linely to find them shallower than if it’s a little lake with low O2 levels.
