I have a striker ice climate suit. Very nice and warm but so bulky. Ill probably let my girlfriend use it because she is a freeze baby, now I’m in the market for a new one and everything I’ve found I dont like. Does any one wear fxr gear for fishing. I really like that they are way slimer and not bulky at all.. kinda steep in price but ill close my eyes when I buy them and it won’t hurt as bad.
Any other recommendations, also I fish out side all the time and usually only in the shack when I get to cold or want to be lazy, which is not often

I have been using the FXR Excursion jacket and bibs the last few years. I can only compare it to my mustang integrity suit. The FXR is much warmer and much more flexible. I really notice it on long runs with the snowmobile or ATV.

I bought my fiancĂ© the woman’s version after the first time I wore mine. She loves it also.

Padded knees, waterproof and a bit of floatation. The sales team explained that the outer material in the Excursion suit would hold up better with ice fishing than some of their other jackets. I have no regrets with it.

Is it too bulky even with the liners removed? The Striker Guardian is much lighter, but obviously won’t keep you as warm. Maybe the Trekker is a happy medium?

I think I have the trekker, and it’s almost too warm. The nice feature is the vented arm pit area.

The bibs are alright but then add the jacket and I feel like the marshmallow man.
