    I miss you.

I will never take you for granted again.

Please, come back to us. bawling

Don’t want this to turn into a Covid crap discussion, but there are alot of construction fellas on here like myself who’s probably missing their N95 masks as much as me. I remember when I’d be using 2-3 a week, now I have gotten one new one in the last year since it’s started and that was under the table hush hush.

I get why we don’t have them, this isn’t a feel bad for us other folks thread, I’m just curious to other industries that may be choking on more dust nowadays. Wood dust isn’t all that bad, Im sure there are other industries out there much worse and I’d like to hear what you’ve found as replacements or maybe we can all gripe about how terrible these folded in garbage masks are they throw out at us nowadays with zip ties for nose pieces. chased

We’ve invested in more hepa vacs and all crews use air scrubbers.

I’ve been fortunate with the masks I use. All respiration type, so I’ve had means outside of the mainstream demand. After the years of OSB, concrete dust, asbestos, ceramics it taking a toll. I use a mask religiously. Wish I had 40 years ago….

Concrete cutter here. I am lucky enough to have cases of n95s. If not my half mask, but I hate that thing.
I feel you though. I see guys using these blue masks as dust masks now.
    No thank you

    Those ain’t cheap.

    respiration

I’ve resorted to using those for most the year, the filters were impossible to get for awhile there tho. Starting to see them regularly in paint and big box stores. Good to see.

Demo guy here. We were stuck with our half mask respirators up until the start of winter. We have the n95s back, but I get a much better seal and prefer my half mask over the n95s when it gets dusty.

I can find some n95s as well, but they’re garbage. Better off with a half resp or cloth mask honestly.

Can’t even google shop for the good ones we had pre-covid.

It’s been sad to see the non compliant fake n95s being shipped out. We have a number of nurses and CNAs in the family. Lots of these have been sent to medical, first responders, and those that desperately need them. Sad how $$$ drives some people

Google “fix the mask”. Just tried it out today. It seals very well on a surgical mask so you breathe through it rather than around it. I don’t know how it would hold up to construction conditions.

Being a pretty small operation I never had the need to.

    Small operation? Really?

I think most people in the Metro Area would say when they think big wood, they think of you.
