What could someone realistically expect to pay under sticker price on a new boat, say a $26000.00 boat this would include accessories included on price.
In 2018, I paid around 12.5% less than sticker on an aluminum rig, but with No accessories. ironically it was just appraised at 1k over the 2018 sticker price… which I think is crazy.
As Matthew mentions above, I wouldn’t expect a ton of wiggle room in the current market but it absolutely cannot hurt you to try. I imagine even the hardest of hardball dealers will come down at least a little. MSRP is a made up marketing device.
I was at the dealer over the weekend, saw a salesman I knew and he is saying once they sell what they have they will have a hard time getting more in so I wouldn’t expect a lot of wiggle room.
I got 2 hats, neither of which fit my big noggin. Then I found out the guys who buy Pro V’s and Tyee’s get coffee mugs, jackets, rain gear, etc. It’s definitely a “pay more get more marketing gear” system!
