My brother-in-law has a Marcum VS380 that has a new battery but nothing turns on… no lights, screen flicker… nothing… I don’t see any blown fuses… any ideas? He is wondering if he could find a LCD screen to replace the apparently dead CRT… any advice anyone?
open it up and see if there is a fuse inside that is burned!

I believe my brother-in-law did open it up and he said he didn’t see any blown fuses. Maybe he needs to disassemble the unit more, I’m not sure.
look inside the power connector cord that plugs into the back of the screen (or the connector port on the back of the screen, I can’t remember which end has the pins?) its easy to get one of the little gold pins bent sideways and that stops all power from getting to the unit…if that’s the case, CAREFULLY bend it back straight so it slides into connector…
You could also call marcum and they may fix it for you for a fee. I sent my lx7 in a couple years ago because my screen went all flaky. They fixed it for like $100 or something. Works as good as new now.

I’m not sure this old girl is worth putting much (or even any) money into. But considering how much a new camera would be, maybe…
It’s likely a dead display, same thing happened to mine a couple of years ago, confirmed it when I checked parts with a buddy’s functioning unit. It’s old enough where unless I run across a cheap/easy fix, I’m just gonna replace it with a newer model off Marketplace one of these days. Hope this helps, good luck.
