Just hopping out of the truck here at sunrise in North Dakota and it’s 48 degrees! I think it’s going to be a good day!

I recently moved to Bismarck. North Dakota has the best sunrises/sunsets.

Have you checked the wind forecast? Gusts to 65 in my neck of the woods today.

Second fish of the day was a 28 and 3/4 inch beast. It might be breezy but they sure are bitey!

Today’s shoot has been called on account of dust storm.

The bite was amazing while it lasted!

A very nice sunrise, and very nice fish to start the day.You lucky guy’s.
I guess the wind and the dust storm led to an early cocktail hour.

Had to be a little sporty at the ramp with the wind gusts coming from the west, assuming you guys used the ramps on the east side of the river.

Quite the change in the weather – 66 at noon in Bismarck and now 28 with 55 mph gusts at 9 pm. Guessing that incoming front had the fish hungry!

We got out while the getting was good! We knew driving out it was going to be a one day, hero or zero, deal. With temps headed for the mid 20’s overnight…everyone was content to head for home once the winds went ballistic.

That tailwind probably gave you some good gas mileage on the way back!
