Im heading up saturday for a day on the big lake. We are going to use portables and will try to move as much as we can. But just wondering where we should try? Im not looking for exact spots just what side of the lake that would be good. I normally go out on the south end but would like to try somewhere different.
There are lots of little fish anywhere you go these days. I fished the deep gravel last weekend and had the place almost to myself with the closest being 1/2 a mile away. You could head up to the north end somewhere between Terry’s and Red Door and fish the flats.
A little report from the weekend up on the big lake. We didnt get out on the ice till 1130 on saturday because the night before we had a few too many smoothies and breakfast at Fishermans Wharf was calling our name. So we started out for the coveted noon bite. We were in 26 feet of water and were marking fish but just couldnt get them to take it. Had a few bites but that was about it. All in all it was a fun day out on the lake.
