Chili and cornbread to tide us over until turkey day. Secret ingredients, dark chocolate and beer. One hour in the smoker puts it over the top. Meats: beef, elk and pork.

I just made smoked chili Sunday. It was amazing, the real trick is extra jalapeño and our devils pepper shaker we make from dried Carolina reapers and every other hot pepper i can get my hands on. Then grind in to a salt shaker

X2 on chocolate in your chili! I’ve been doing it for years, really does add a lot too it.

Chocolate and spices make a third thing. Lol. The chocolate is said to make some of the other flavors deeper and richer. All I know is this is good chili!

1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips to my large pot of chili.

I use around a quarter to a half of a Hershey bar for around a gallon of chili. I’ve always used milk chocolate but the dark is a good idea.
