The rules are the rules, by rule it was not a catch. Ask Calvin Johnson about his catch that should of beat the Bears. He purposely dropped that ball to celebrate and it was ruled an incomplete pass. His was a much worse example then Bryant’s.
As far as the Cobb catch, it was ruled a completed pass on the field and there was not indisputable proof to over rule it. Do I THINK it was a catch, heck no, but that is what I or you THINK, not what the officials called or seen after reviewing it.
The NFL made the rules and their officials are the ones that have control, like it or not.
And yes winning the NFC Championship is basically meaningless, no one remembers who lost the Superbowl in years past. There are two goals at the beginning of the year, making the play-offs and winning the Superbowl, other than that no one remembers the rest.
Also remember the Packers would of had roughly 4 minutes to move the ball down field for a field goal.
