Hello everyone I have a small boat with only a gas motor on it so I don’t have a battery for the engine. I was looking to install a lowrance hook 2 7 with triple shot onto to and I was wondering if I install a dakota lithium 12v either 7ah or 10ah battery to it would it be able to power the fish finder and is it something that would last all day. If there are other options of batteries that I would be able to use but I would rather invest in something that I know would work but also something that is relatively small due to limited space and weight.

That unit probably draws around .5-.75 amps with the screen fully bright.

A 10 amp/hr will be plenty for the day

I’d look into the Amped Outdoors 12 AH, they are about the same price as a Dakota but with more capacity
