In another thread I posted a picture of a transducer bracket I made so I wouldn’t have to drill holes in the transom of my MX 1825. And a few people expressed interest in it.
I finally got to test it today and it works as I expected it to. great readings at speeds up to about 7 mph and at on plane speeds it is out of the water so I can only get 2D views from the glassed in 2d transducer.
I am seeing prop wash for about a foot on each side but it does not interfere with the rest of the view. I got excellent views to both sides and can easily see structure cover and fish.
I am getting better images than I got last year when it was mounted on my Ranger. I don’t know if that is due to transducer mounting or having updated the graphs.
So I am very happy with the results.
