Has anyone been having success targeting walleye/sauger recently? I’m hoping to get my two young boys out this Friday afternoon for likely our last open water excursion of the year. We don’t have a ton of time to fish, so was thinking of launching at Beanie’s, then trolling the channel just north of there with some crankbaits. Thanks in advance for any information!

On the croix this time of year follow the gulls.
Bait will be schooled up in hundred acre balls, usually over the deep water as it has the most stable temps.

Pinch points at sundown like Prescott, kinni, catfish bar, i94 are traditionally excellent right now with blade baits.
