I have scuba dived these lakes and I can say good luck not getting snagged. I have reclaimed many lost lures in the submerged trees. It’s like a forest under the water. Just a heads up. Very nice fish in them though.

Early in the season we troll small Rapalas or Salmos for the DNR stocked
rainbow trout. Does not matter if your in 30 or 400 fow. I know a person who says wax worm tipped Swedish Pimples vertically jigged work well. So far, that did not work for me.

I have ice fished them, they are great fun. I don’t think you will find many walleyes. My typical catch is stocked rainbows and brown trout.

The larger pits have beautiful boat launches, the smaller pits are typically limited to carry ins.

Once you are out on the water it feels like a pristine north wood lake.
