Got on the water around 9:30 and we hadn’t gone more than 100 yds. and we were hooked up with a walleye.
As matter of fact my brother didn’t even have a line in yet. That’s the way to start off a day fishing, catching em and poking fun at my bro right away!!
Long linging shad raps/ berkley flicker shads were deadly, chrome blue, chrome black, and chrome perch seemed to all work.I think they all were very equal in catchn fish.
We tried to stay in 16-20 fow. We put three nice eyes in the livewell one a little over 18″ and two at 16″. We caught and released 8 eyes/saugers in total. One dandy northern pike at 38″ long and a handful of silver bass which were a blast to reel in.
Off the water by 1:30 to see my daughter before she heads back to UW Stout.
Jesse, you were right about what was happening. If you found the fish they were smacking lures hard, a couple totally inhaled cranks.Awesome!!!!
Haven’t been on The Croix for over 3 weeks, sure was fun!!
