first timer

where would be a good place to drop a boat in for a first timer wanting to fish the St.Croix ? MN side.

If your looking to launch out of WI then Hudson has 2 launch’s both downtown Hudson. There is also another one south of Hudson about 4miles by Troy burn golf course.

Pending on where you would like to fish there are launches everywhere along the croix…if you want to fish the south end by presscott there is a launch right in prescott that i think is $10 for non residents. but there is a launch up by the lock and dam that is free to launch at. more up the croix you have the bluffs which can be a bad ramp at times(well with our boat!!!cross members drag pulling the boat out). further up you have windmill marina in afton.keep going you have beanies on the mn side and right across the bridge you have both hudson ramps.keep gong up you have the anderson bay ramp. then up past the lift bridge is a public ramp on the mn side!!! there is alot of places on the croix to launch it just depends if you want to pay or not and where you plan on fishing!!!
