The river has some nice fish in the system right now. I’m sure they are always there, put at least active right now. We are seeing numerous 20 to 23 inch eyes. We also got a 26″ and I heard of other 25ish fish being caught. Cold fronts all week long haven’t helped. Makes me wonder how sweet the bite would be if we had stable weather. Wind has been brutal , better have a 24v trolling motor system. Monofilament line for light biters has been a must. Same depths and presentations as two days ago report.
Keep Catchin Turk
attached: Brenda McDaniels with first eye of the day
attached: Steve with the McDaniels Group second walleye ever, his first went in the box, this one is a Catch and Release (let them go over 20inches).
attached: Steve and me on a double hook set both catch and release. Mine was netted three seconds after with Steve’s walleye was in the net – pretty exciting action considering a pole fell in the water at the same time, but then the line of the drowned rod was caught by hand in the nick of time, and was pulled out all wet but no worse for wear. LOL.
