Today started off as a struggle and stayed that way all day! The landing we were planning on using was full before 6 am, so we has to scramble to put in somewhere else? We began our day at the lift bridge and worked our way downstream. We could not buy any fish rigging or jigging so we tried some leadcore. Within the first 5 minutes boom nice 18″ eye! That was going to be the end of that excitement, because we couldn’t buy another one! Many whiteys and sheephead but no more eyes. It didn’t help our confidence that we didn’t see a fish caught all day!

Anyone else out today? Same luck?

A number of fat white bass found the boat, but only one sauger for the effort. All caught rigging.

    That wind was not fun…

I started late (2 PM) from Prescott and north. Wind was horrible. I started rigging a crawler – nothing. Went to trolling cranks and got one short walleye. When the wind died down I was able to go vertical jigging with a few more small saugers.

What depths were you fishing? I wouldnt be afraid to target the 18-24FOW range

We stayed in the Hudson channel from 5:30 until noon. Caught 2 short walleyes rigging and a bunch of sheepies. The wind gusts made boat control for rigging next to impossible. It would have been a fun day to watch people at the Hudson launch put their boats back on their trailers. I broke my trolling motor prop when I came into the dock.

We tried that depth most of the day! At times were dipping down to 30 feet! The one eye we did get was in 18 fow.

Fished Sunday, started in Prescott and worked up river, it was slow and it took almost all day to find some fish but when we did we got 4, all nice keepers from 15.5 to 19. We were rigging crawlers in 17-22. They went down good with a cold one Sunday night.

Amen to that Crossin Eyes. Vast wasteland to the south with no Walleye. The only reason I go down there is for the peace and solitude—no nasty walleyes disturbing my trolling runs
