When is the opener on the Croix this year? Not really concerned about the fishing, just want to make sure I get the Borderline GTG on the calendar?

Mike, I’d a thunk you’d’ve had that posted by now!!

    Can’t wait for that
I watched a ranger running wide open out in front of Clydes marina in bayport,mn. today. It looked as though a tourney was going on, he was zig-zagging all over.
I pulled over on 95 to watch, and as soon as i stopped he headed down towards the hudson channel I couldn’t see him anymore..
Isn;’t the no wake still in effect?

Sure is, he must not be aware of the rules of the particular body of water, that or he had a hot lead on some vertical “white bass” action.

Alright then, I’ll be the first to throw this out. As this will be about my 4th or 5th year of attending, the St. Croix opener GTG will be April 29th (Thursday). Borderline is where it’s always been though the name of the place has changed a few times.

Will get a time up closer to the date! But get it on your calendars!!

I pass the torch to you. I suggest planning with the management at Borderline. That’s how I always got good seating for the group.

We had a great time last year. We’ll try and make it again.

Anyone been out recently? Is it still no wake?

That’s crazy talk Glen. My brother in Michigan has really turned up the heat and now does better than me. Think Saginaw bay, Detroit River and Erie. They dont have the huge inland lakes with lower pressure like we do but they have some big water that puts out big numbers.

    SteveO,
I can definitely swing by 8th St to pick you up. I have no problem being the DD on the way to the Borderline. Then it will be up to you or John to figure out who gets to be the DD on the way home.

Just south of HWY 94 on HWY 95, first bar on the left when heading south from 94, cant miss it.

    Clarification:

Just South of I-94 on Hwy 18.

Hwy 95 S is the same as Manning now and I hate to see people ending up in Hastings.

Hwy 18 is the last exit before the St Croix River. 95 goes North to Stillwater and 18 goes South to…Borderline!

Thanks for clearing that up BK. So is it HWY 95 to the north and 18 to the south?

6 or 7? The first set of volley ball games aren’t even done yet!!!

Honestly, I may need some help here as I can’t get over there til dark. Some sort of softball something or another going on for the girls. I’ll be there though.

What time do others want to start? I’ll probably do an 8:30 – 10:30 or 11:00. I could be talked into 11:30, and arm twisted toward midnight. But no later than 1:00, unless we close the place down. But that’s it, no after bar parties, no way.

BZZSAW can drop me off in the morning on his way to work and I’ll save tables. But someone will have to wake me when the meeting starts.
