Anyone note when most of the ice-90 percent–was gone in these two areas? MODIS polar satellite photos cloudy, missing for Saturday and Sunday. That would be official ice out for lower St. Croix as Friday space photo still showed some black ice both areas. Today’s MODIS, for Monday, shows all clear, Stillwater to Prescott.
I was at Bluffs again this eve, other than the cones in front of the landing I did not see any ice. I’ve been in touch with those folks every couple days, they keep saying to keep checking launch wise. No wake for a bit yet, but I’m ok with that as it will soon turn into a tuna boat fest. Early and late season for me, bring it on!

You should know when normal ice out is over there, more than most of us. Keep us updated on conditions.
