    Wow, I hope this guy is OK. Who would be driving on the river just North of the swing bridge?

    Wasn’t it last year a car was driving around lost and dropped in about that same area?

    A local man, what in the world was he thinking
    You can’t tell me or anyone else he didn’t know the ice wasn’t safe.
    That is no place anyone should driving any motorized vehicles near, even within 200-300 yds. away.The river current bottles up near there an the ice NEVER gets thick enough to support vehicles.
    Common sense?? At least he made out safely.
    Year after year i watch people drive down near there,i’m sure they have no clue what under them.

    It might be a dumb question, but what the heck ws he doing out there at 3 in the morning. Seems like someone was asking for trouble.

    From a radio report this afternoon, they said he was using the “shortcut” road and became lost in the fog.

    Saturday afternoon Washington County Sheriff vehicle towed their airboat through downtown Stillwater headed south — no red lights. Never did find out if they are working at recovering the vehicle.

    looks like a walleye hotspot if you find that car during the open water season. another structure added to the river.

    but pollutions is still bad.

    Friends today told me they thought they heard a white pickup was pulled out of the Croix in last few days.
    Any substantial links or info?
