So my buddy Turkster calls and says “hey, I have a couple of bass trips coming up. You want to join me to find some bass? Maybe we try a little for muskie also?”
    Thanks Turk!

Nice ski SteveO. How big was it? Were you casting or trolling?

    Nice Fish!

Did you happen to find a natural colored SR8 in his mouth? I was out last weekend and hooked into one while trolling for walleyes. Broke me off during its aerial performance

very cool and no shad rap in it’s mouth. the fish did show some signs of lamprey attachment. it was a little marked up.

You guys should watch Steve catch big bass and now Ski’s, as cool as a cucumber! His name should be cool hand Steve…as an example while he’s fighting this ski, he says I better move my diet pepsi, I don’t want to spill it, then he takes his time and moves it to the left two feet and proceeds to fight Mr. toothy, (and yes, will he did that, I said a bit loud, “I don’t care about that, fight the %&* fish!” Mr. Cool no doubt.
But when he’s got a big walleye on the line he’s all knees and elbows!
    ha.

    Good job buddy.

with the upgraded leader you supplied and the super sharp hooks I knew that fish had almost no chance of coming unbuttoned. i was eerily calm and i don’t quite know why.

thanks again Turk. that was quite an experience.

best guesses on this fish was 42″ and a skoosh over 20 lbs.

didn’t take the time to measure and weigh. water was pretty warm and it needed to get back in the river right away.
