If anyone’s interested in joining our little Helmet’s Not Required New Year’s Day Celabration …Come On Down!!

If everything works out, we will be roasting Stillakids mudpuppies on an open fire….

    See ya fish’en!

I have this thing called work, i have to do. But maybe around 4pm i’ll stop out with my new digital camera, and take pictures of all your huge fish.
p.s. I always do better this time of year on the Wisconsin side. Hate to admit it , but it just seems to produce better when the pressure gets high.

Sounds fun Brian, I’d like to go!

Where are you planning to meet. Or better question, where is everyone going to park? Bayport is kinda funning about parking if ya know what I mean….

    Jon…looking forward to meeting you.

Parking? Well, I haven’t had a problem parking at the Bayport Beach parking lot..the sign says it closes after 11pm.

There is some parking south of there, but it’s generally full so I go directly to the beach. Turn East on the South side of Woodies Bar/Bowling and keep going until you get to the beach.

Comm, you know of anyother parking close by?

You can fit 10-12 at the beach and there is room for another 15 trucks on the right just b4 you turn left into the park by the beach.I have seen people park there b4 dont know if there is any problems parking there.

if things work out, may come by also. Tough call though, the warm temps are nice for the opening of winter trout season down south, but I suppose I could come and get some crappie chips and pick the bones out of my teeth with the finger sized saugers I catch up there.. Bayport is fun enough but frustrating also, I cannot say I have ever caught a legal eye there through the ice and only scant numbers of good crappies. There’s a couple killer lakes minutes away in western WI that have been cranking out big pike and piles of pannies early season for us, so going to the river has been a last option. If I come, I’ll pack some of Big Pike Mikes Pickled Pike, along with good crackers and sharp cheddar.

    Beachman,

There’s a good chance I can make it.

Where are you going to set up? You should fly a pirate flag to alert folks of your whereabouts

Where is Rivereyes? In deep meditation or snowboarding at Trollhaugen??

JROD…you can’t believe everything you hear…there are no walleyes in Mille Lacs!

Turk, I’ll see if I can attach an American Flag to my black shack..fresh out of pirate flags…

Do you like your mudpuppy rare or medium rare?

I could be in deep meditation…. but the empty whiskey bottles laying around might be a tip off!…. Im afraid I have plans for thursday…. but if that falls through ya never know…. Id be happy to drop in with cam in hand…. though with the weight of the NEW lens I might fall through the ice…. time for some weight lifting… my camera now weighs in at around 8# with the BIGMA attached….. good thing I have some smaller lenses….

If you can’t make it Ken….Happy New Year and may 2004 fill your camera’s eye with award winning photos and your minds eye with award winning memories

Ps In my opinion, of all the mug shots on this site…you have the best! Not to say that others are bad, just that you have that bright background of a scenic river.
I think the only way to improve the shot would be to get that smudge (in the lower left corner) off your lens before taking another pic.

I also may wander over, all depends on what time I am able to let go of the floor! Surely I jest, as I do not drink anymore, because the same amount still does it!
