    SteveO,
I had heard through the grapevine that Turk and Scott Hale won it or possibly tied for first with around 20 lbs. Hopefully, someone can confirm.

20 lb bag is pretty doggone good. I have been having trouble catching anything the last couple of times out. Maybe I should hire the Turkster for a refresher course!

Off the top of my head, there was 37 teams. Turk Gierke & Scott Hale tied another team with 19 pounds and odd ounces for 1st. One of the first place team had 4 fish, nice average. 3rd was Andy Johnson & Jeff Sobiech, 4th Kenny Lundgren and Terry and 5th Trevor Lundgren and Chad Freiberg. I think Scott’s brother finished 6th or 7th. Not sure on largest fish….

I hate to post this but this was hands down the worst tourney that I have ever fished. When you set your rules and print them on a flyer you should follow them. You dont change them the night of the rules meeting. Then the day of the tourney on the flyer it says awards and raffle at 5:30 we run the boat home and get a call at 4:00 to find out its all over, everything has been handed out.One other thing, I have never fished a tournament where they force you to launch at a specific spot, especially when that spot sucks. As someone who loves to fish walleye tournaments that was the last beach bar for me.

1-over my friend…that is what I like about tourneys.

I don’t have to fish them.

The Beach Bar tourney what exactly what I expected. A local tourney with a low entry fee that was centered around a fun day of fishng rather than a hardcore tournament stop.

I had a great time fishing the tournament, even though I got my kicked and only weighed 1 fish.

I didn’t fish the tourney, but how about this for some advise. If you don’t like how someone is running their tourney, how about running your own? I take it you didn’t win anything, or you weren’t present when your name was drawn for a door prize.

Maybe just maybe when the weather heats up, I’ll got catting this year…My man Stevie D is going to bring me out there one of these nights, I am totally looking forward to that!
