46 lb St Croix Flathead

    I picked up my first two St Croix flatheads of the season last night so I’ve got the cat bug bad. I had to get out tonight to see if I could find fish again. I got a late start and didn’t have hooks in the water until 2100 but I didn’t need much time. At 2130 this beautiful 46 lb flathead hammered my bullhead. She measured out at 46″ length and 28″ girth which put her right at that 46 lb mark on the flathead weight conversion chart.

    I fished a couple of more hours but only picked up one channel cat. That thing surprised me too, he hammered a 7″ bullhead. It was a fun night – Twins beat the Brewers too. Life is good!!

    Steve, it would have nice of you to take a photo with a backdrop, say a bridge or something in the background so the rest of us had something to work with. Pool 2 here I come right now, I’ll keep an ‘eye’ for the Rootski.

    When the Croix warms up to 70, you can be sure us folks at Bayport will be in our overalls down at the new Pee-rew Crik overflow outlet at the Andersen lot, noodlin. for that bugger…that is if we ever get some rain. Will send you some pix showing landmarks in background to please the other readers.
