Little ways downstream from Beanies. If coming from 94 you have to pass it then turn around at the next roundabout.

I plan on dragging lead core out on the river this year anyone has any help or tips i would appreciate it.I have not used lead core does anyone know where to start for a leader or what size crank baits to start with. thanks
Can you imagine how much info you could get live at the GTG?!April 30, 2009 at 8:36 pm #772798Suzuki,
Is that place rite on HWY 95 or old HWY 95 or whatever that road is?
April 30, 2009 at 9:27 pm #772826Yes, 95. The last exit before river on Mn side. Go south and you will see it kinda tucked in the trees on the east (river side) of the road. Parking might be a challenge later on if there is volleyball league but that is a good problem to have.

Once you get to know these guys, you’ll pretend you don’t!
I ‘spose we should start a thread about what we are going to be doing with our winnings from last night.
Thanks for getting this put together Mike!
BTW, I don’t think Heather will look at me the same way again.

Brian,
After you left, Heather showed us what the writing on her shirt said. She had to bend over backwords so we could read it.Unfortunately, I can’t remember what it said though. But I think it said something about stinky cat fish something or other.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow.
May 1, 2009 at 1:42 pm #773017BTW..thanks for all the great tips on lead lining and locations to lead line…you guys are the best!
May 1, 2009 at 1:55 pm #773023It was good to meet everyone last night. Nice to put faces to the names. Thanks for the beers and info.
Good luck to all tomorrow.
May 1, 2009 at 1:56 pm #773024It was a great GTG thanks Mike. Just wondering BK did you ever figure out who the girl was that had your hefty child support bill? and honey if your lurking here I know nothing of this Heather they speak of

<sign> Just another one of many.
May 1, 2009 at 2:53 pm #773057Wish I could have made it last night guys, sounds like you had a good time.
I ended up at this bar on the MN side, found some guys who liked to fish and tell fish stories. Great bunch of guys, buy you a beer, laugh, friendly……….
Not at all like the usual suspects on this St. Croix forum who gripe, [censored], and get bent out of shape over things like swing bridges and tuna boats!
Funny our waitress was named Heather too and her shirt said “sinful”.
Nice!
May 1, 2009 at 3:00 pm #773058All the tips and places to try just left me more confused, I think I may need to quit my job in order to try them all. It was good to meet all of you and with the tips maybe I can catch a few fish this year. Good luck to all.

Sorry I didnt get a chance to introduce myself. I was ready to head out just after you got there plus BK was hoggin up all your time. Good luck everyone. With the river opportunities we have around here “opening day” gets kinda seen as just another day to fish but its still special with a lot of people including me.

May 5, 2009 at 2:01 pm #773949Nice to see you on the water again on Saturday. We ended up with six keepers. Dragging worms with 4ft leaders on a plain hook.
Good luck to you this season.
